How is Makemysupper different than YouTube?

• The videos you will find on makemysupper.com are all about food and cooking so you won’t need to sift through hundreds of irrelevant videos to find what you’re looking for.
• Our search system is designed around cooking, allowing you to search for videos by ingredient or type of dish. Try searching for "chicken" on YouTube and see what comes up (most videos will have nothing to do with cooking).
• Our video upload system displays a progress bar so you can tell how much longer your upload will take. On YouTube you never know.

How do I join?

1. Click "Sign Up" from the menu above
2. Fill out the sign up form and click "OK"
3. Click on the confirmation link found in your welcome email
4. Login using your username and password

How do I record my cooking show?

We recommend using a digital video camera to record your cooking shows. However, video shot from a digital still camera will work too.

Here are some tips:

• Have a friend help you record your show. It’s dangerous to operate a camera while cooking.
• Use plenty of light. Open your curtains to let in as much natural light as possible.
• Remember, you’re an actor. Have fun and be creative. Try inventing your own TV personality.

Why does my video say: "processing image..."?

When you upload a video to makemysupper.com our system automatically converts your video into a readable format. This process can take a few minutes so if you see the message: "processing image", check back a bit later and your video will be ready to play.
